Lucky escape...... and Saved by another builder

It was a lucky escape as the construction work hadn't reached to slab stage with the previous builder. We had everything ready to commence the work. Ram from Reddy Homes was introduced by our family friend. We met him and breathed a sigh of relief.

Reddy Homes has commenced the review of our plans and inclusions to start the journey again. We were given a 'Turn Key' contract with premium inclusions and reasonably priced. We are excited to start the second sailing and hoping it to be smooth.

Building company collapsed

Things had started going in an unscripted way. Builder was hit with the financial difficulties hence nothing progressed from the 'Cut and Fill' stage. Waiting game continued until the parent company of our builder had gone into liquidation. After a long wait finally we were given the permission to continue our house with a new builder..

The beginnings....

We started this blog to record each and every step of our home building process. Title means 'Sweet Home' in our mother tongue 'Tamil'.
Home construction is an experience and we would like to share it via this blog.

Home is not where you reside, its where your dreams, memories live and family tree grows.
Important for every one to have the best nest for your family.

We visited our Architect a decade ago and got the plans drawn and even submitted for council approval. But we were blessed with prince and princess at home, the idea of building the home was postponed.

We decided to restart our house plan this year with Huxley Homes. Details to follow.
